Frequently asked questions

How much do you charge for cookies?

My cookies start at $36/dozen; however, the price of cookies varies. Several things are considered when we give a price quote. The size of the cookies, number of colors of icing, complexity of the design, and packaging are all considered in the price. Please fill out a quote form and I will be happy to put together a quote for you.

Can I freeze your cookies?

Yes! My decorated sugar cookies can be frozen! I recommend placing them in freezer bags, in a single layer, and then in a tupperware container so they do not get crushed in your freezer. To thaw cookies, remove the container from the freezer (leave the top on) and let them sit out overnight. Remove cookies from the container and you're good to go!

Do you ship?

No. Texas Food Cottage Law prohibits shipping; however, you can purchase cookies, pick them up, and ship them to whomever/wherever you would like! I just cannot be the one to ship the cookies.

How far in advance do I need to place an order?

The sooner the better! We have repeat customers that put events they know are going to happen (birthdays for example!) on my calendar 8 months in advance! We do require a deposit to secure your date on our calendar. With that said, never hesitate to fill out the inquiry form! We know things pop up and we are more than happy to help if our calendar allows for it! A rush fee may apply.

Tickled Turquoise, LLC operates under the Texas Food Cottage Law.  This food is made in a home kitchen and is not inspected by the Department of State Health Services or a local health department.  Under this law, I am required to hold a Food Handler's permit and I am not allowed to ship.
Although my cookies do not contain nuts (I do use almond extract!), my kitchen is NOT nut free.  Cookies contain eggs & flour.
